We collect only what you hand us, and we use it only for the thing you handed it to us for. This page says that precisely. It is the privacy policy of Cavael (“Cavael”, “we”, “us” or “our”), the studio operating cavael.co.
Effective September 8, 2026
What we collect
- What you type into our contact form: your name, email, message, and — if you choose — how you heard of us.
- If you apply to a program such as first mark, everything you put in the application: your name, email, Instagram and Discord handles, where you are and your time zone, where you are in your craft, links to your work, and what you tell us about your goals and your business (clients, pricing, income).
- If you join a program, the work, messages and feedback exchanged during it on Discord, and the record of your payment (amount and date — never your card or bank details, which PayPal handles).
- Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider to run the site safely (IP address, time, pages requested).
We set one functional cookie that remembers your language choice. We run no analytics and use no ad trackers. If that ever changes, this page changes first.
How we use it
- To read your message and write back.
- To review applications, decide whether a program is a fit, and run the program you joined.
- To keep the records the law requires us to keep.
We send no marketing email and add you to no list you did not ask for. We process your information with your consent, to do the thing you asked us to do, and in our legitimate interest in running this site securely.
Who handles it for us, and where
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. A small set of providers process it on our behalf, each only to provide their service. They are based in the United States and store data there, under their own safeguards; the transfer happens over the network the moment you use the site or the service, and they keep the data for the periods described below or under their own policies:
- Vercel (United States) — hosting and infrastructure for this site, including its forms.
- Google Workspace (United States) — our mailboxes (contact@cavael.co, stillwarm@cavael.co) and the email our forms send.
- Discord (United States) — where our programs run. What you post there is also covered by Discord's own terms and privacy policy.
- PayPal (United States) — payments. We see the amount, the date and the name on your PayPal account, never your card or bank details.
You may refuse this overseas transfer by writing to contact@cavael.co; in that case we cannot run the forms, mail or program that depend on it.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept as long as it takes to handle it, and a reasonable period after. Program applications and materials are kept through the program and a reasonable period after it ends; if you apply and are not accepted, your application is deleted within six months. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. Ask us to delete sooner and we will, unless the law requires us to keep a record.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, receive a copy, or withdraw consent — at any time, by writing to contact@cavael.co. We answer within thirty days. These rights follow Korea's Personal Information Protection Act and the GDPR where it applies to you.
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have similar rights under the CCPA; we do not sell or share your personal information.
Children
This site and our programs are not directed at children under fourteen, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
When this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. Material changes are flagged plainly on this page.
