These terms govern cavael.co and the programs we run, including the first mark mentorship. They are an agreement between you and Cavael (“Cavael”, “we”, “us” or “our”), the studio operating this site. By using the site or applying to a program, you agree to them.
Effective September 8, 2026
Who we are
Cavael is a studio based in the Republic of Korea, represented by Saemi Jang. We build products and programs for people starting again, from zero. Reach us at contact@cavael.co.
Using this site
The site is yours to read. Don't republish substantial parts of it commercially, don't scrape it, and don't probe or disrupt how it runs.
Our content, and yours
The writing, design, marks, and program materials here belong to Cavael. Program materials are for enrolled participants' own use — keep them, use them for life, but don't redistribute or resell them.
Your own work stays yours. The artwork, portfolio and writing you share with us in a program remain your property, and we do not publish or use them beyond the program without your permission.
What our programs are — and are not
Our programs and products are educational and supportive. They are not medical care, psychotherapy, counseling, or a crisis service, and we make no promise of clinical outcomes. If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately.
first mark is a mentorship on direction, portfolio and business. It is not a technical tattoo course, an apprenticeship, or a licensing program. Local licensing, hygiene and safety requirements stay yours to meet, and we make no promise of clients, bookings or income.
Who can apply
Our programs are for adults: eighteen or older, or nineteen or older if you live in Korea. If you are younger, we cannot enroll you, even with a guardian's consent.
Applications and payment
Applying to a program is not enrollment. Enrollment is confirmed by email once we both agree it's a fit, and the fee and payment schedule are confirmed in that email before you pay anything.
For first mark: the fee is due in full before the program begins and may be paid in installments. A seat is held once the first payment arrives, and lapses if the schedule is not met.
Payments are non-refundable once made, because a 1:1 seat is held for you and cannot be resold. Where Korean e-commerce law, or the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in, requires a refund, we follow the law.
Liability
The site and its content are provided as they are. To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site or a program. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or any right consumer law gives you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea. If you deal with us as a consumer, the protections of your mandatory local law stay yours.
Disputes
If something goes wrong, write to contact@cavael.co first; we try to resolve it directly. Consumers in Korea may also apply to the Korea Consumer Agency (1372) or the Consumer Dispute Mediation Committee. Consumers elsewhere keep the dispute options their local law provides.
Changes
When these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the change.
